Players are reminded that they should ensure that 180's are recorded on the score cards at league & cup matches and on the draw sheets at CDPA tournaments.

DIVISION {3} DOUBLES

Great night of darts at the Deanrock.
36 pairs entered the competition on Monday, February 20th.
Congratulations to the winners, Darren Cotter & Mark Power {Deanrock} who defeated Greg Fehily & Willie Finn {Kirby's Korner} 3 - 2 in the final.
Bryan Ronayne {Brown Derby} had the highest check-out of 115 on the niight.

A RAFFLE was held on the night in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Build4Life and 300 Euro was raised for this worthy cause.

Stephen is Champion

Stephen O'Leary {Tory Top} won the 24th. Annual Tom O'Sullivan Memorial Singles with a 4 - 3 victory over Gary Condron {Abbey Tavern} in the final.
A separate Ladies' Singles was also held at the venue with Kay O'Carroll retaining the title with a 3 - 0 victory over Michelle Gould in the final.

The Evergreen Bar retained the Michael Fowler Memorial Trophy when they defeated the Harp {2} 3 - 2 in the final of Division {1} of the Mahers Sports/ Unicorn League.

Quirkie's Bar won the Division {1} Shield with a 3 - 2 win over the Tory Top {2} in the final.

Forde's Bar won the Liam Downey Memorial Trophy with a 3 - 1 win over the Tory Top {2} in the final of Division {2} of the Mahers Sports/ Unicorn League at the Deanrock on Monday, November 21st., 2011.

It was a great occasion for the local players in the Deanrock Bar as they captured both the Division {3} League and Shield titles at the Deanrock on Monday, November 21st., 2011.

The Annual Cork Charity Cup Doubles was held at the Deanrock Darts Arena.
40 Food Hampers were purchased from the proceeds and were delivered to the needy and elderly before Christmas.
Congratulations to the winners, Terry Barrett and Noel McCarthy {Abbey} and sncere thanks to everybody who supported the event.

A cheque for 2,600 Euro was presented to the Friends of Marymount Hospice at the Rock Bar, Gillabbey Street, Cork on Monday, June 20th., 2011.
Our sincere thanks to everybody who supported the raffle, collections and table quiz in aid of this worthy cause.

The Annual General Meeting of the Cork Darts Players' Association was held at the Deanrock Bar, Togher, on Monday, September 5th., 2011, and the following committee was elected for the upcoming season :-

Committee : Mark Willis, Gary Stanton, Christy Kerstien and Benny DeLuca

Team managers are requested to note the following CDPA rules - -
" Any player who is a member of any other Darts League or Association or who competes with a team or as an individual in any other Darts League or Association shall be ineligible to be a member of the CDPA "

" The CDPA shall implement a Code of Conduct for it's members and supporters at all competitions and events under it's jurisdiction and disciplinary action shall be taken against any member or supporter found guilty of bringing the sport of darts into disrepute "

The onus is on Team Managers to ensure that their members and supporters comply with CDPA rules.

2011/12 Challenge Cup & Plate

Congratulations to the CDPA team of Noel McCarthy, Mark Willis, Eric Dunlea, Adrian Wright, Peter Daly, John Kidney and Tony McGregor on a great performance in the 7-a-side Team Championship at the Tramore Spring Festival.
They defeated a strong Wicklow team in their first match before losing to the eventual winners, Wexford, in the quarter-finals.

Congratulations to the Evergreen Bar on winning the Cork City Challenge Cup on Monday, April 30th. They defeated the Abbey Tavern in the final.
The Friars Walk Tavern defeated the Manhattan Bar in the final of the Shandon Plate.
